How much does an autonomous store cost?

A 24/7 autonomous store with computer vision costs between €25,000 and €120,000 in initial investment, plus a monthly platform subscription that covers software, support and maintenance. The price depends mainly on the format and the size of the space. From signing, the store opens in a maximum of 8 weeks, manufacturing included.
What the investment includes
At Techtail, the technology isn't charged separately. The investment includes design, manufacturing in Barcelona and installation, and every store comes as standard with:
- _AI cameras that recognise what each customer takes.
- _Weight sensors on every shelf.
- _Access control and payment authentication: the customer opens the door with their card.
- _Automatic charging on the way out, with no checkouts and no scanning.
- _A management platform with sales, stock and restocking alerts in real time.
The monthly subscription keeps all of that running: software updates, support and maintenance.
What the price depends on

Is it worth it? How to calculate the return
An autonomous store makes money in two ways: it sells during hours when the space is currently closed or unstaffed, and it avoids the cost of having someone at the till.
